Moon Goddess Co (formerly Hayley Renee Soy Candles) was established in 2016 by maker Hayley, Originally located in Diamond Creek Victoria now located in our new studio in the peaceful town of Flowerdale Victoria, Australia.
Our Story – From a Kitchen Hobby to a Self-Care Sanctuary
Like many candle makers, our journey began in my mum’s kitchen in 2016. At just 20 years old, life had already thrown some major challenges my way. I lost my dad, faced setbacks in my dream career as a hairdresser when the salon I worked at suddenly closed, and after bouncing between different salons, I knew I needed a fresh start.
I decided to pursue a career in childcare, but as many know, studying doesn’t always cover the bills. That’s when candle-making became my creative escape. What started as a small project in between my studies—selling Hayley Renee Soy Candles at local markets—quickly grew into a passion-fueled side hustle.
Fast forward to 2020, welcoming my son and navigating the craziness of COVID, my business became more than just a side gig. It allowed me to work from home, spend precious time with my little love, and do what I truly enjoy—creating products that bring comfort and joy.
Since becoming now a mum of 2, I’ve realized the importance of self-care and wellness. As women, we often put others before ourselves, leaving little time to recharge. That’s when Moon Goddess Co was born—a holistic self-care sanctuary designed to help women (our Goddesses) nurture their mind, body, and soul.
Because let’s be real—nothing says bliss like lighting a candle, running a bath, or taking a quiet moment to meditate. Moon Goddess Co is here to help you create your own sacred space and embrace the self-care you deserve. ✨
